It's the beginning of the long summer break for many students, a time when parents, librarians and other educators are looking for ways to keep kids entertained and learning. Booktrack Classroom is a great tool to incorporate into digital or eBook summer reading programs.
It's easy to sign up as a teacher on the Booktrack Classroom website, and start adding kids to your digital classroom as "students". Teachers have great control over their Classroom with features that allow them to block (which still allows students to read), unblock and delete students.
You can use Booktrack Classroom for "story time" with younger readers, where the soundtrack can really enhance their listening comprehension, for creative writing programs with older kids, and as an innovative way to participate in reading and writing at libraries. Parents can download the Booktrack Classroom reader on mobile so kids can read on-the-go during long car trips or family vacations.
As Booktrack Classroom is a closed network, all work created for your specific Classroom stays private and only available to the teacher and other students which have been added to the class. It's a great way to get a group of friends reading and commenting on each other's work while still allowing for adult supervision.
Those looking to engage older teenagers can also create an account (you can now use the same email address to sign up to both) on Booktrack Studio, and create and publish work on our global platform, where it will reach thousands of readers worldwide.
We also have great free lesson plans for elementary, middle school and high school students covering a variety of subjects and learning outcomes for those who want to get a head-start on the new school year.
